How to open a port in Windows 2008 Firewall

You can follow the below method to open the ports in Windows server 2008 :

1. Open Windows Firewall by clicking the Start button , click Control Panel, click Security, and then click Windows Firewall.

2. On the left of the Window that opens, click Advanced Settings

3. On the left, click Inbound Rules

4. On the right, click New Rule

5. On the New Rule options, tick the "Port" option and click next. Then tick the TCP option and enter the port number you want open in the "Specific local ports box" and click Next. Tick Allow the Connection and click Next.
